The efforts have apparently continued on the part of the Fred Rogers Company to bring more episodes of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood into our homes. Many of you have been expressing your desire for hard copies of these episodes rather than just digital downloads and it appears that you can now get just that.

Through Amazon, you can now purchase episodes on DVD (!) -- either individual episodes or a series of weekly episodes. While a bit pricey -- $9.95 for individual episodes and $29.95 for an entire weekly series -- here's your opportunity for the hard copies you've wanted. Take a look for yourself...
On each product page for the DVDs it states that "this product is manufactured on demand when ordered from Amazon.com." I assume this means that these DVDs are made on an as-needed basis and are likely simple DVD-R copies but with a professional picture quality (as opposed to recordings made from television broadcasts).
Either way, this is definitely another
huge step forward!

Great day it appears we are waking up to a snappy new day! I don't quite understand the grouping of the episodes though (Season 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7). Season 1 includes Windstorm in Bubbleland? Now FCI web site link is showing episode grouping 1979-2001. Maybe it's a work in progress right now. I imagine FCI had to do something given the fact that PBS is trying to eliminate MRN all together. I understand beggars can't be choosers but I would like to see all 895 episodes or at least all pre-79s. I hope more of the early operas get put in there.
I think what we are all seeing now is a programming shift. I imagine what FCI is trying to do is beginning to shift their efforts to the new program they are building on. Last I heard it was due out this coming year (2011). They are probably saying put MRN on DVD or on-demand now because it's going off the air completely. I just wonder what network will pick up the new program or whether it will stay on PBS and the one episode a week MRN will be eliminated. Has FCI released a programming schedule for MRN in 2011 yet? If I had to guess probably not.
I like the Art work cover it looks like there are more coming or a hint that is I did not see 1454 with Marget Hamilton in the list but maybe that whole week from 1975 or the 1976 week thanks to the Fred Rogers company for doing it they just put a link on there website for the download videos thanks Tim
