one thing I've noticed about the pre-79's (especially up until around 1973 or so) is that King Friday and Daniel interacted more often. You don't see that very often (if at all) during the "modern era" of episodes.
Good observation Aaron. King Friday is the ultimate authority figure and Daniel is the "kid" in the Neighborhood. Maybe in the older episodes, Daniel was the only one to fill this role, whereas later Prince Tuesday came along and naturally filled what would have been the "Daniel" role.
