Early last summer, we looked at the
Daniel Striped Tiger Play Watch that was manufactured by Jak Pak in Milwaukee. Apparently one of several items of Mister Rogers merchandise made by Jak Pak, here are a few others from that same line.
The first is a King Friday hand puppet -- one in a set of four that also included Queen Sara, Daniel Tiger, and X the Owl.
Next is a Color Chain set which comes complete with a pair of plastic scissors. The paper for the chain appears to be cut into strips already so I am not entirely sure why the scissors were necessary. Maybe because it would make the set more marketable than if it was just a package of paper strips. More than likely to accommodate the other options for using these paper strips which are listed on the package: "Make paper chains, flowers, cats, lanterns, wheels."
Last is a set of plastic jewelry featuring Henrietta Pussycat. As the package indicates, this set includes a three-strand beaded necklace, two bracelets, and a ring and pendant with Henrietta's image on both.
From around 1980, the market price for these products were very affordable at around $1.00-1.50 each.
If anyone has access to images of the Queen Sara, Daniel, and X hand puppets from this line of products, I'd certainly be interested in seeing them.
