The Neighborhood Archive on Facebook!

Okay, Facebook, you win.

Considering the huge number of people who use Facebook, I starting thinking more about making the Neighborhood Archive's presence known among the social media masses. In short...I caved.

So here you have it, Facebook users. The Neighborhood Archive Facebook page is up and running. Click the image below and "Like" it once you're there.

What I'll do with the Facebook page will be much like what I've done with Twitter -- just short posts as new updates are made to the Archive sites. It's an easy and convenient way for me to keep folks informed and to reach a new audience with the Neighborhood Archive.

If you're concerned about privacy, please know that when you "Like" the Neighborhood Archive page, this does not give me (or anyone else) access to the content of your Facebook page. It will simply show posts that I make on the NA page on your news feed.

So "Like" it, folks. And share with your friends. The Neighborhood Archive has hit Facebook!

Hey everybody...I had second thoughts about opening the new FB page up allow for anyone to post on the page whenever they want...so sorry if you posted something already and it's now gone. For now I think I'll limit things to just comments and "likes" and see where things go from there.

Thanks a lot for deleting my comment, TIm :) No, seriously. . .I am so excited you are on FB. Did you SEE how many likes you got already? That's AWESOME!

Jen -- I wish I could say that the huge number of "likes" is my doing, but it's a directly result of the good people at the Fred Rogers Company sharing a link to the page on their own Facebook page. Still, awesome to reach a whole new audience!

Oh, man, very nice FB page. I love the top image.

I too have been resisting the urge to create a page for the Cavalcade. It just seems like a lot of work and I'm lazy. I do enough updating with my blog, Nerd Lunch, Strange Kid's Club, etc. I don't want to think about dealing with doing stuff on FB too.

Pax...that picture is one of my all time favorites. As for Facebook, I held out thinking I was already doing enough with the site, the blog, twitter, etc. But in just these first few days on FB, I'm blown away by the response. Especially the number of folks who love the site but didn't know about it. FB reaches a whole new audience!
