You're Growing Chart & Purple Panda

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen that yesterday's mail brought me a brand new You're Growing chart -- originally made in 1974. Still sealed in its original shrink wrap, there were several more of these available from the eBay seller from whom I purchased this. I'm not sure any of them are still listed, but if you're interested in one of these for yourself, you might take a look.

Complete with full sheets of the original stickers, this chart is in tip-top shape. While I already had the You're Growing chart listed on the Neighborhood Archive site, the images to go along with the listing were pretty meager. So while the description has not changed, feel free to visit the Neighborhood Archive page for this item to see several updated (and much clearer) images.

Also, I'd be remiss if I did not mention that much like the copy of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood: Children, Television, and Fred Rogers that I mentioned a few days ago, the You're Growing chart was acquired thanks to the same generous donation from a Neighborhood Archive reader.

Speaking of donations, whether you're a regular reader of this site or not, I'd encourage you to contribute in any way you can -- and I don't necessarily mean in a financial sense. While I certainly won't turn down financial donations which are used entirely towards the improvement of the Neighborhood Archive, I'm just as interested in any memorabilia that you have that you'd be willing to share. Scan an article, take a picture of a toy or a shirt, share a story -- I hope you'll always feel free to contribute to this site!

Last but not least, as I was just about to finish this post, Eric sent me a link to this video. Poor Mr. McFeely.
