Episode 0036 [1968]

Mister Rogers arrives with a children's rocking chair he has borrowed which he compares to a stationary rocker already inside his house. As he sits in the stationary rocker, he talks about when a new baby comes into a household and sings When a Baby Comes To Your House.

Taking a walk "down the street and around the corner," Mister Rogers visits Mr. Dennis who demonstrated chair caning. Returning to his house, Mister Rogers talks about the meaning of horizontal and vertical.


In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Daniel recounts to Lady Aberlin the discovery of the "red monster." He takes out the red light which everyone believed to be a monster and Lady Aberlin commends Daniel for his bravery.


Meanwhile, at the factory, Corny is showing various rockers to Digger Digorum as he sings
I'm a Man Who Manufactures. Digger is called to Alaska where she will explore some tunnels. As she leaves, Corny gives her a rocking chair and Lady Aberlin gives her a blanket in recognition of her service in the Neighborhood. King Friday, recognizes Digger for her service by placing a citation on her lapel.

Back at the house, Mister Rogers returns to the stationary rocker where he continues singing
When a Baby Comes To Your House.
