Episode 0039 [1968]

Original Air Date: April 11, 1968

Mister Rogers has been riding his bicycle and talks about how learning to do so took practice. He arrives with an invitation to a reception for Sara Saturday taking place tomorrow at the castle. As he takes out paper to write a reply to King Friday, Mister Rogers comes across a teddy bear and sings Please Don't Think It's Funny. The Trolley arrives and waits as Mister Rogers writes his reply.

In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Handyman Negri is working at the castle and accepts the reply delivered by the Trolley. Daniel Striped Tiger calls Handyman Negri to the clock where they talk about preparations for the reception. Handyman Negri would like to play the guitar at the reception but does not have anything to wear. Daniel suggests that he visit Mrs. Frogg at the Museum where she is hosting a special on men's fashions.

Inside the Museum, Handyman Negri sees a variety of costumes from around the world throughout history. After viewing the many costumes, Handyman Negri decides that he will borrow a traditional tuxedo with tails.

Meanwhile, at the castle, King Friday and Edgar Cooke are reading the invitation responses in preparation for the reception. Handyman Negri requests to be a part of the program.

Back at the house, Mister Rogers draws a picture of an envelope and explains how to address an envelope for mailing. He concludes by talking about waiting patiently for things you might be looking forward to.
