One Child's Penny Worth

This afternoon I was flipping through my copy of Dear Mister Rogers, and I came across one of my favorite letters.
Dear Mister Rogers,
How did you get on all our pennies? Your face is on the front and your Trolley's on the back...
Penn, age 4
Classic.

This was one of my favorite letters from the book as well! And you know what? My three year old thinks the SAME thing- that the trolley is on the back! He used to think that was Mister Rogers until he learned about Abraham Lincoln on President's Day. Now he knows Abe is on the front and the trolley is on the back. Close enough, right?? :)

I use to think that too. That's why I liked pennies so much.
