The headliner for this year's event was Shock from the new Electric Company program. As one of my daughters and I waited in line to meet WordGirl, we enjoyed Shock's stage performance.
But the real highlight of the day -- honestly, the reason we decided to go to this event in the first place -- was a more familiar face.
David Newell was in attendance -- in character as Mr, McFeely, of course -- signing autographs and passing out coloring pages (as well as copies of the FRC pamplet Bedtime Struggles).
With a line waiting, our visit was short. I was given an extra coloring sheet with light-hearted instructions to share online so others could color as well.
Enjoy!

Did David Newell recognize you as the Neighborhood Archive founder?
I had actually never met Mr. Newell before. When I introduced myself, he was certainly familiar with the Neighborhood Archive effort.
