Episode 1347 [1974]

Original Air Date: March 19, 1974

Mister Rogers arrives with oars to a rowing machine already set up on his floor. Once it is put together, Mister Rogers demonstrates the rowing machine as he thinks about rowing in a real boat. The rowing machine is on loan from Marilyn Barnett who stops by for some stretching and exercise.

In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Prince Tuesday is pretending to be a sculptor by tapping a hammer on the statue of King Monday IX. When the statue is broken, King Friday orders Master Mister Magic Maker to fix it; however, the magician wants to wait so Prince Tuesday has the opportunity to understand what has happened. When Lady Elaine arrives at the castle, she and Master Mister Magic Maker help Prince Tuesday fix the statue with glue -- not with magic. King Friday invites everyone inside for some safe hammering in the castle's Pounding Room.

Back at the house, Mister Rogers talks about playing safely and also about angry feelings parents sometimes feel. After reading The Elves, the Shoemaker, & the Shoemaker's Wife, Mister Rogers visits Brown's Marionette Theater where preparations continue for the upcoming performance. Taking a liking to the puppets of the main characters, Mister Rogers offers to write some songs for their parts in the performance.

Returning to his house, Mister Rogers talks about how the puppets look different than the characters in the book. He reminds viewers that their own creations are unique and different from those of others.

The NOM segment was used for a film called "I Can, I am, I Will"

You guys are both correct. The clip linked in Steven's comment uses a segment of the NOM portion of this episode.
